WHAT HAPPENS WHEN CARBONATES REACT WITH ACIDS?
Well it is mostly possible with metallic carbonates. When carbonates react with acids they give salt, water and carbon dioxide is released. Remember acids have replaceable hydrogen atoms.
So :
Metallic carbonates + acids = salt + water + carbon dioxide
